COVID-19: Business Continuity & Emergency Preparedness Plan

SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATIONS

World Wide Industrial & Systems Engineers’ (WWISE) core function of business is ensuring companies around the world follow ISO Standards and Principals. In order to be certified to ISO, a management system is required. WWISE is focused on ensuring organizations attain their ISO certification based on whichever standard they wish to engage in.

The world of work has been thrown upside down. Key challenges have been to keep businesses afloat, as well as the management of safety and security at work. This is true for both those able to work and those who will need to prepare for an eventual return.

ISO Management Systems provides useful guidance and a framework to reduce work-related risks, protect health and increase safety at work. These standards (to name a few) will address the many areas that can impact a worker’s psychological health, including ineffective communication, excessive pressure, poor leadership and organizational culture.

  • ISO 13688:2013, Protective clothing
The Standard specifies general performance requirements for ergonomics, innocuousness, size designation, ageing, compatibility and marking of protective clothing and the information to be supplied by the manufacturer with the protective clothing.
  • ISO 22301:2019, Security and resilience
Business continuity management systems –RequirementsThis standard specifies requirements to implement, maintain and improve a management system to protect against, reduce the likelihood of the occurrence of, prepare for, respond to and recover from disruptions when they arise.
  • ISO 22316:2017, Security and resilience
Organisational resilience — Principles and attributes Organisational resilience is the ability of an organisation to absorb and adapt in a changing environment. It enables the organisation to deliver its objectives and to survive and prosper. More resilient organisations can anticipate and respond to threats and opportunities, arising from sudden or gradual changes in their internal and external context.
  • ISO 31000:2018, Risk management
Guidelines ISO 31000:2018 assists people who create and protect value in organisations by managing risks, setting, and achieving objectives and improving performance throughout the organisation. Managing risks is an ongoing process and assists organisations in setting strategy, achieving objectives, and making educated decisions.
  • ISO 27001:2013, Information Security Management System
Requirements ISO/IEC 27001 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the organisation. It also includes requirements for the assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the needs of the organisation or company.
  • ISO 45001:2018, Occupational Health and Safety Management System
Requirements – ISO 45001 – Occupational health and safety management systems is the world’s first International Standard for occupational health and safety (OH&S). It provides a framework to increase safety, reduce workplace risks and enhance health and well-being at work and enabling an organisation to proactively improve its OH&S performance.
